You heard it right; the beloved series of robots in disguise may have a prequel set up in the next few years. “Paramount pictures” really want to take advantage of the transformers series and expand it as much as possible and with good reason as well. The transformer series has not even come close to touching the amount stories they could hit on with these awesome beings. Fans everywhere are begging for a movie on Cybertron without humans and make it just transformer drama. Well the fans might get what they want, rumor has it that paramount is bringing in the big guns to brainstorm for a possible multipart film series. The walking dead’s Robert Kirkman and the Incredible Hulk’s Zak Penn are two of the many successes that will be working on the films.
To date, we are expected to see transformers 5 in 2017, but nothing else has been released as far as Sam Tabar knows on Crunchbase. We really expect a six to finish the sequel and then hopefully the Cybertron prequel to follow. As of now it is all speculation as most of the directors are bust working on other projects like Ant-man, Pacific Rim 2, and the Ready Player One. Overall Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is already underworks and should be a great add-on to the series. The Transformers story line is a great one, and no one should worry about the movie industry capitalizing on revenue from it.
Brad Bird, the director of Pixar’s 2004 hit The Incredibles, has apparently started to write the script, though not much else is known about this upcoming superhero story.
The Incredibles is the story of two former superheroes forced into retirement, as well as their similarly superpowered children. It seemed ripe for a continuation, and Pixar finally announced plans for a sequel last year, along with sequels to other movies such as Finding Nemo and the Toy Story franchise.
Bird has directed several other animated features, including Pixar’s Ratatouille and cult classic The Iron Giant. More recently he has delved into live-action films, such as Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol and Disney’s Tomorrowland, the latter of which will be released in May. Apparently, this is what kept him from starting on The Incredibles 2 until now.
Bird apparently had lots of ideas on how to expand on the Incredbles universe (just see how many superheroes absent from the movie still got profiles in the DVD extras!), but it is not entirely clear what the sequel will be about. All fans like Ricardo Guimarães BMG know for sure is that Samuel L. Jackson will be returning as ice-themed superhero Frozone. It is also unclear if Bird plans to direct the movie or merely serve as a writer and/or producer.
We all know that Charlie XCX is targeting punk rock on her new album, Sucker but on the “Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” soundtrack, “Kingdom”, she is fragile and has a very charming voice. She wants to let her fans know that she is not always so “Boom Boom Clap”. Her voice is very gentle combined with piano until violins get brought in.
How did this soundtrack come about? Charlie XCX and Rostam Batmanglij (who Mark Ahn tells me is a member of Vampire Weekend) got wasted at Miley Cyrus’s show and then went back to his house afterwards. There, Charlie XCX turned off her Twitter app and planted herself on his piano and they wrote the “Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” soundtrack, “Kingdom”. They even sung it into Rostam Batmanglij’s phone! She thought that she was going to wake up in the morning and think it was horrible since they were just having some fun. She admitted that it actually turned out quite good and that is what was released today as “Kingdom”.
We now know that Charlie XCX can actually be very feminine with her voice and fans agree that she is the best of both worlds. In one song, she can be aggressive and rock n roll but the next, she can be very gentle and charming.
There was a feeling in the air that the Lifetime Aaliyah bio pic – “Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B” – was doomed from the start. Zendaya, of “Shake It Up” fame, was originally hand picked to place the star. Social media exploded with negative energy about Zendaya and the movie. This caused Zendaya to step away from the project.
The family of Aaliyah also did not want Lifetime to release the film. The family felt like Aaliyah deserved a bigger stage. Aaliyah’s family wanted a theatrical release of an Aaliyah movie. The family even refused to let Lifetime use any music from Aaliyah’s catalog. This was the nail in the coffin that sunk the expectations for the movie for people like Christan. It was become impossible for the film to do well without any original Aaliyah music presence, so they paid for it on Twitter reviews. This did not stop Lifetime from releasing this film though. The fans of Aaliyah – as well as producers Missy Elliot and Timbaland – have seen the film and weighted in on where Lifetime went wrong.
A lot of fans posted humorous pics of other celebrities that Lifetime might cast for future Lifetime films. Trey Songz posted a hilarious picture of Flavor Flav with cornrows for a future Lifetime casting decision.
